Workshops

Every May and June, SuperNOVA travels throughout Atlantic Canada to deliver interactive and high-energy STEM workshops featuring exciting demonstrations, interactive experiments, and fun hands-on activities.

Each grade-specific workshop is delivered by highly-trained science and engineering undergraduate students who share the same curiosity and enthusiasm for learning as your students. By sharing their academic experiences and career ambitions, we know your students will start to think about their future in STEM fields and careers!

How much do workshops cost?

Workshops are $65 each. Schools that book 6 or more workshops are given a discount of $10 per workshop.
Be sure you spread the word within your school about this great learning opportunity!

How do I book a workshop?

We are now accepting workshop requests for the spring of 2017.

To request a workshop for your school, please email us at supernova@dal.ca or call (902) 210-6220. Requests are processed in sequence to ensure we try our best to accommodate your school's schedule. Depending on staff availability we can run multiple workshops at one time and will work with you to craft the best schedule for your school.

To help ensure SuperNOVA is able to visit your school:

  • Please contact all teachers who could be interested in a workshop before placing your workshop request.
  • Your school should try to book 4 workshops or more. To minimize our carbon footprint, we try to visit schools only once throughout the workshop season and are not be able to make repeat visits.
